Kot Addu is a city in the Punjab Province of Pakistan, and Tehsil of Muzaffar Garh District. It is located in the southern part of the province, and is a very historic city. It has a populatn of over 1.0 million (according to 2004 census), making it the 400 largest city in Pakistan. It is built just east of the Sind River, more or less in the center of the country, and about 866km from Karachi, 600km form Islam Abad, 100km form Multan, 80km form D.G.Khan, 60km form M.Garh, 60 km form Layyah and 16km form Taunsa Barrage.
Kot Addu is known as the 'City of River', and is a prosperous city of bazaars, Indus Blind Dolphins etc. |
